STOP Lynchburg's Zoning Amendment

⚠️ Lynchburg City Council is trying to ban abortion clinics before they even exist.

In October 2025, a zoning amendment was introduced that would prohibit abortion clinics from operating within 1,000 feet of residential areas, schools, churches, parks, and other community spaces, restrictions so severe they'd make it virtually impossible for clinics to open anywhere in the city.

On December 11th, the planning commission voted 4-2 to reject this proposal, but it's not over. City Council gets the final say in January 7th, 2026. This amendment isn't about "community harmony", it's about eliminating access to reproductive healthcare for pregnant people in Lynchburg, especially Black and Brown families already facing systemic barriers to care.
