Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga
Locations: Richmond (Birth in Color, 115 E. Broad St.) and Hampton (Sentara Careplex, 3000 Coliseum D.)
Every first and third Sunday of the month
The prenatal and postpartum yoga program with Birth In Color with Tyanna Haynes, and at Sentara Careplex with Donna Watkins, is designed to prepare you for your unique birth experience, both physically and mentally, while relieving the stresses that are put on your body. Prenatal and postpartum Yoga may also help alleviate other discomforts such as low back pain, sciatica, and swelling. Yoga can also help with the emotional and mental stress of pregnancy, including restless sleep.
Classes include relaxation and breathing techniques as well as poses to promote muscle toning, strength, balance and improve focus.
A prenatal yoga class is a great way to meet other pregnant people and feel a sense of community in a healthy supportive environment.

If you are experiencing perinatal or postpartum mood and anxiety disorders during or after pregnancy, you are not alone. We are here to walk with you. Join us for support, resources, guidance, and to connect with others.
A perinatal or postpartum mood and anxiety disorder (PMAD) is the term used to describe distressing feelings that occur during pregnancy (perinatal) and throughout the first year after pregnancy (postpartum).
This group is free to attend, we ask and encourage you to attend regularly to get the greatest benefit of being a part of the community.

Each meeting has different facilitators and different participants at different places in their grief journey. Our groups are open to all, you do not have to walk this journey alone. We stand firm and walk with you.

The Milk Bar - Sexual Health & Your Milk Supply
Spend time with other families and babies. Learn and share valuable parenting advice. Find out how much milk your baby is getting with a pre- and post-feed weight. Latch, positioning, and other lactation assistance will be offered by a registered lactation consultant or lactation educator.
Prepare for lactation before pregnancy and get support as you navigate lactation by joining our monthly Support Group and Clinic. Connect with others on their feeding journey, gain lactation education, and receive support from Lactation Consultants.

Join Our BIC Baby Photoshoot!
We’re looking for 5-7 adorable babies to be part of a special Birth In Color photoshoot! If your little one wears sizes 0-3 months or 18 months, we’d love for them to join the fun!
Each baby selected will receive a FREE Birth In Color Baby Onesie as a gift! Feel free to dress your little one in any outfit you like and add your own accessories for the photoshoot.

The Blueprint, a guide to becoming a prepared birth partner — Hampton Roads
This workshop is for men who are already fathers and those who are expecting their first baby. During the workshop, "Rookie" dads-to-be talk to "Veteran" new dads about what the first months of fatherhood are really like. Also for discussion is how to support a partner in pregnancy and birth, what legal rights fathers have, and the great contraction sublimation machine and Pregnant Belly. This class is only for fathers.

Please join us for a virtual vigil as we acknowledge Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day on October 15th at 6:30pm. We will honor the lives of our babies gone too soon and we will also be lighting a candle for the annual Wave of Light. The day is part of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, which takes place throughout the month of October. Please register to join us, and if you would like to participate in the Wave of Light, we encourage you to have your candle ready to light with us. If you have been impacted by pregnancy or infant loss, we also encourage you to submit your baby’s (or your family’s) name to be recognized and remembered.
